Explosion in the Sky, just the name tells you something. Something different, it catches your attention; something that makes you feel different. I think that this is Explosion in the Sky, a band that makes you feel different, not better, not worst, just different. And alive, too. Explosion in the Sky, I will say that it is a band that makes you feel. Feel peace, or feel war, happiness, sadness, loneliness, feel different, feel alive. Feel, after all, because you can feel a lot of things with this music, you can feel what ever you want.

Maybe I shoud talk you about the history of this group. But actually, I think that this is not important right now, right here, you can read it in a lot of places if you are interested in that, I don't wanna write a bored post about how they started. I'm going to talk you about  why I decided to write about Explosion in the Sky. When my cousin sent me the first song of them, time ago, I found a new world. Because that it's what they made me feel. A music to think, to relax, to feel one thousand and one things at the same time. 

For me, Explosion in the Sky is more than a group of music, they are a form of living the life, to think and reflexionate the things, they are a form to escape. Sincerely, they are one of the best bands I've ever seen, but that's what I think, of course. I suppose I could write 50 pages about the world that Explosion in the sky creates in me, but for what?, I expect you that you create your own world with your own feelings. 

And for this, you have one of my favourite songs here, 
so close your eyes, and feel alive. 

The best you ever had

For this firts post, I want to talk us about the Arctic Monkeys. The Arctic Monkeys are an Indie Rock band created in 2002, in a neighborhood of Sheffield. They became popular with  "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor", that was in the top of the UK Singles Chart. Their debut album " Whatever people say I am, That's what I'm not", was the disk with more sales in the firts week of the history of music. The Arctic Monkeys were considerate like the band who could change the music market.

Last year, EEUU prohibit the jacket of their fourth album "Suck it and See" because "incite to lascivious acts". 
The songs of the Arctics usually talk about the social reality, like for example in "A certain Romance" where the describe the Indie culture or "When the Sun Goes Down" where they talk about the prostitution.

In my opinion, here we have one of the best Indie bands of the history, I think that they have a very different style that make them originals, and that each song it's extraordinary because they made you feel the song, they transmit something that others bands can't. In the other hand....nothing, I really don't find nothing bad to say about them, they are genial !

In every post, I will try to do a special mention of my favourite song. So, I love a lot of song of the Arctic Monkeys but... Fluorescent Adolescent it's one of my preferees; it have something that makes me feel better, and because of that the tittle of the post.

Hi everybody! I'm Iris and I'm who is going to write this blog.  First, I'm goint to explain you the name of the blog. It's easy, this blog is about MUSIC. But not the comercial music that teenagers listen,  or "40 principales" music, but good music. 
 I'm going to write here some news and information about bands of music, next concerts in Albacete and music of series or films. Normally this bands are going to be Indie bands, but really, this is not only and Indie blog. I will try to write about different styles and kinds of music.
